 Recently, there has been much talk about Napoleon Hill and his life long work with human nature and how we are to become successful?

 What is the big buzz about this book? Why have so many people started to get interested in it? Tell me  why?  Is it because he has interviewed the most successful people in his time an these people may have never completed school  or even furthered their

education? What makes these people stand out?

I have actually started reading this for myself with a version on my phone and on laptop. It is a great read and a study guide for success. However, what does it tell us? Being persistent is a huge part of why  Henry For has his horseless carriage "on the road" today. He wanted something unattainable but possible. 

Determination set forth for Thomas Edison developed a lamp that ran on electricity. No lighting of a match and solely dependent  on the electricity. Did he fail? Yes of course, roughly ten thousand times. The fact of the matter is he did make that idea into a reality,  Each failure can bring with it a seed of an equivalent success.

Napoleon Hill has stated "You have the power to control your own thoughts." Think and Grow Rich (paraphrased) Poverty and success are in the same mind. Today you have to choose to listen to your own mind and that small still voice the one that can open your mind to dreams and thoughts of how to get where you want in life. Read good books such as this one to open your creative attributes, 

Today you are that dreamer with tolerance and an open mind. Put your dream across and don't listen to anyone that is keeping you from achieving the best you ever, Even if you meet defeat get back up and persist harder with more determination than ever before and you have the power to control your own thoughts.

Find a way and make your dreams come true. YOU are worth it!!

Just want people to remember that we are all out here on social media and some people lead double lives. I thought this story was very interesting. Some people live in Distorted realities. Claiming that their lives are in fact perfect. Someone suffer from depression because they compare their lives to someone else. Even to the point of being and showing their life is so higher class. Be careful to the people that friend you on social media. If you don't know them don't friend them. 

The reason I'm sharing this is because if you online date or are obsessed with facebook posts be careful these people you talk to may be not who they say they are. Unless you know them personally. Just want everyone aware.

Hi Folks


It's been a year or close to it since I wrote a blog. Lots of things have happened since that time and I would like to share it with you in a later post. I love blogging and reading the other posts in the world wide web. However, I would need some suggestions on how all this story writing would make an income. any ideas?

Yes, I have been quite busy during the last year and surprised that there are still people looking at my previous blog posts. I have really no comments on any however, I am pleased to see the activity. I look over the last year and there were so many events happening with my kids, my job, my love life and face book. Ha ha it had been a conglomerate of crazy things.

 My oldest son came back from South Korea and on the way back from the airport we were almost involved in an accident. Luckily, the accident was a bit further up on the highway-to say the least a few hundred feet. However, this resulted in a horrific accident fatally injuring an occupant  of the first of two vehicles involved. It was a really bad moment in history for my life.

My job and love life kinda went down hill. Both did not succeed well. I think this was the time that I stopped blogging and writing the stories. I was happy at one time but when so many things hit you at once it tends to wear on a person. My solution was to get back up and continue to hold my head high and make the  best of  what my current life held.

Obviously, I have reread some of my blog posts here and they are very informative. Maybe now I will continue to write here and share my "Everyday Things" with all of you.

Life is getting better and so am I.

We all have wounds from our past and sometimes they creep up into our future. Why is that?

Sometimes the hurt is too much to bear and our hearts do not let things go that easily. Strife and bad situations always have their  tole on how people feel. It could be from a bad relationship, divorce, accidents, and or a death of a loved one. No matter what it is- we as humans have to heal. Maybe not forget but just try to move on..

As a child I grew up in foster care and had some of the most extreme things happen in my life. a first and second marriage: failed. Homelessness and poverty- felling of abandonment . I often wondered why am I plagued with so much strife?

Life was not always that easy and it was hard to forgive myself and those who were a part of the pain and suffering. It was so bad at times that giving up was the only choice. Perseverance kept me going." there are better days I kept whispering....."  And finally - there were better days.

Just Another Tuesday


Its just another Tuesday here in Farmington and it has been a beautiful day.Lots of sunshine and warm weather. It is about time that we were graced by mother nature with sunshine instead of snow. Haha Returning to the wonderful spring weather we should be having.

Until a few weeks ago mother nature and the groundhog couldn't decide whether the sun was going to shine or if it was going to blizzard.One day was a Tuesday and it snowed and snowed rendering the town nearly closed -just thinking the day before was a warm 72f  and sunny. What a let down with the snow. Haha I tell ya it was not so much fun digging the car out to come to work or even trying to go across town.It was just that bad.

So much for the weather.

As for today the weather has been beautiful with no exception. If I were to be anywhere at the start of a day this is where I would want to be. No snow- no cold weather. lol   By the beach with a loved one bringing in a new day. Maybe even a Tuesday. What would you do if you had time to bring in a new day? Leave me your comments I would love to know. As for now we only have today and not promised tomorrow. So live each day to its fullest and dream the biggest dreams. Then go out and make them happen!!

Life is Getting Better!

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick post on the new up coming resolutions this year. Yes these are for myself and I am excited.

A few days ago I joined a fantastic group of people and they are in the health and wealth department or as one would say a business. 

I had been watching a particular friend of mine that was a co partner in another business with me. We just stayed together as friends on facebook. I had been watching her and this business work for her and as well seeing others success. So I will give it a try.

So starting on my new years resolution I wanted to lose a bit of weight. I think that is everyone's New Year's resolution. The holiday parties and all the dang turkey  and the sweets take a toll on the mid section. It was for me. Also, since I was in another business that I felt failed for me- I still wanted to earn an extra income.

For most people an extra income could mean the bills may be paid on  time for  that month and maybe a cushion for unexpected incidentals. For me I thought that I could be a millionaire in 5 minutes with the other business. However, that did not come about. How was I to make money and lose 30+ lbs and help other people  achieve the same thing?

I spoke to my friend that I had been watching and she gave me a link to her website. She posts success stories and fantastic recipes too. this really intrigued me because I love food. Who doesn't? But that is what got  me into trouble in the first place. I was eating the wrong kind of food.

 So I had to find a solution!

I decided to do what my friend was doing. Skinny Body Care...

Happy New Year! Whats on your Resolution List?

Happy New Year,

I know it is a bit late but it is still January 2014. Woot I am glad to say hi to all of those that are reading this post. It has been a while since I have written and I apologize for that. Google is so vast and so awesome  that I just couldn't find where my blog was.

 It was very disheartening that I wrote all those blogs and not one I could find. I looked up the numerous log in sites for Google and had a rough way to go. Then I came upon the "Blogger". Oh My  that was it. I almost cried.. I found my blog. Yes, now I can write.

In the title of my blog I want to know what everyone's resolutions are. What you are going to accomplish this year. Short term and long term. Are you getting a new job, starting college, getting married, starting a business? These were to name a few. I am going to write. I like to write and for some reason since I could not access my blog-spot (my fault for not doing a good search) I couldn't write.

So I will start my new year off with writing and starting a new online business. My long-term goal is  to be a millionaire by the time I am 45. It takes commitment, plans and goals to really know where you are going  and what you want to accomplish. Honestly, I am not a very consistent person and this will be improved over the next few weeks.

Yesterday, there was a turning point in my life  scared to death to listen to Jim Rohn's video because there is a wealth of information -value contained in every video. He talks about self improvement... How it can affect your life. His words of wisdom on "Personal Development" is  "Learn to  work harder on yourself ( personal development) than you do on your job."  " We must "Listen, Read, and Observe" to become Great...
"Pay Attention."  These are words from Jim Rohn.

Helpful Home Remedies: Clover Honey for Coughs

Clover Honey to the cough rescue.Tis the season for weather change. Instant colds and coughs including but not limited to aches and pains.

Clover honey has been used for thousands of years. i beleive that Hippocrates used it for an herbal type remedy. I have used it as a sleep aid and natural antibiotic. I have never used it as a cough suppresent until this year.

Clover honey has potassium, vitamin C and iron. Also it is power packed with vitamin B6, calcium, magnesium and phosphous. With this type of cough fighting formula it will rid the cough from your body with in a few days.

I hove often wondered what type of other remedies clover honey can be used for. I was supprised to find that the honey destroys free radicals that are in your cells. These radicals are reffered to as damaged and problematic cells.
They damage the cells and the DNA making them irriparable. Antioxidants such as honey  is filled with antioxidant properties and prevent free radicals from destroying the cell.
Anyway, that is enough biology for today. How about that recipe using clover honey for coughs


I have like totally loved the taste of the honey with a spash of lemon.

Here is the concoction:

Warm 1 cup honey and add 3 tablespons  of lemon juice blend- add 1/4 warm water, stir till smooth. Before you retire for the night take 1-2 tablespoons of this to combat the cough. It should help you sleep better and lessen the cough.


My son and I have had coughs lately and they have been pretty bad. I have used honey with tea.(black or orange pekoe) tea with a tablespoon of honey. This has worked for me.

Fall Time in Missouri

Hi Tina here,

 

A quick note before I run to the store to

 grab some stuff for supper. 

 

Corned Beef and hash with eggs and biscuits.

 

While summer has ended fall time is here

and it brings rich color with the bright oranges,

reds and yellows mixing with some of the greenery.

 

November 1st was the prettiest day of the year.

The colors were so vibrant and as you look across

the countryside it appeared to be like a blanket

 covering the pastures and bluffs.

so many great places to travel but I think that Missouri has many trees on the roads

that show off their beauty. Fall time is spectacular.

 

There is only one other place that has this kind of beauty but

it would take some time to get there. It is  the New England states.

Fall time represents the end of summer, cooler weather and eventually snow.

Chicago Trip Was Fantastic

Chicago Trip Was Fantastic

I had a huge road trip to Chicago last weekend and it was filled with so much content
that I nearly couldn't remember it all. I did however, used my IPhone note pad
 and voice recorded  all that happened to  Chicago and on to Michigan.

The funny thing was that on the way there to Chicago (it takes roughly about 5 or so ours to drive there) on I-55 I was held up in traffic for  5 hours.

There was major flooding or the dam closest to Chicago was about to blow so the police rerouted the traffic through a small town. I found this out after 1/4 tank of gas and 3 + hours of waiting. I think I traveled 32 miles in 3+ hours.

There were also problems with flooding at the hotel I was at. the parking garage was flooded. Me being somewhat of a hick didn't know where to go when I got to the hotel. I pulled right up front to the doors and proceeded to go in.

The valet said I would need to go to the parking garage and catch a shuttle from there. What a trip that was. checked into the hotel and proceeded to the "Get Money" Event held at the Rosemont Theater. It was late and I wondered if I should just go to sleep or head over. I went over.

 

 

 

This is what I saw... The  "Get Money " Contest results were in and there were about 20 on stage that received rewards including first place Vick S. The stage is crowded now with several people. David Wood and David Sharpe,  wanted all those who were going "All IN"  or have gone "All IN"  in the last  90 days to come up on the stage and be recognized. The stage is full!!! This was only the beginning of the weekend events.  All day Saturday and  half a day on Sunday.

 

 

 

I would encourage you to look at your financial future for a minute. Chicago was only the start for me. What would you need in monetary funds to be FREE?   What an unbelievable day for Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Valley Community Church as he finds his son Matthew Warren has died of apparent suicide. Pastor Rick Warren is known for the multimillion book " The Purpose Driven Life" and for the Saddleback Valley Community Church he founded in 1980.

Matthew Warren was only 27 years old.It is way to young to die and knowing that his life was just beginning. Mental illness damages many peoples lives without knowing that it is happening.

Asian Style Peanut Cookies For Chinese New Year Real Peanuts

  A few weeks ago my son Aaron had to complete a project for home economics class and make Asian Style Peanut Cookies.

These cookies are probably a little differently made that the American style Peanut butter cookies made with real peanut buttter. They Asian style is made with crushed peanuts and peanut oil. These are normally made around the Chinese New Year and found to be very delightful.

 These project was a huge success and Aaron got a A for a grade.

Peanut Cookies  

Asian Peanut Cookies: The Recipie

This is the exact recipie we used. Enjoy!

Ingredients: 4 cups ground roasted peanuts1 cup powdered sugar (icing sugar)
1 cup peanut oil 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons shortening 1 egg yolk, beaten slightly for egg wash.

Method: Mix the ground peanut, sugar, oil, shortening and flour together until well combined. Shaped into small balls. Use a fork or the palm of your hand to flatten it slightly. Brush the top with the egg wash and bake at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) for 20 minutes or until brown. Remove from the oven and let cool.

Cook’s Note: You can add a circle pattern to the top of the peanut cookies by pressing and flattening the peanut cookies with the cap of your toothpaste.

Our Day in Cape Girardeau at the Mall

This is Aaron my youngest son we are going to Cape Girardeau, Mo to the mall. Cape Girardeau is about 75 miles due south east of Farmington, where we currently live. Today was nice actually, no rain or snow nearly 52 F and sunny. We drove the car to Perryville to get gas and snacks which Aaron wanted to pay for. He is 16 and having his own money and d be able to spend it makes a difference to him.  








So we are here at the mall. It is not as big as South County mall in St. Louis but it will do for a short afternoon visit. It was quite interesting on a Thursday afternoon the mall was nearly bare. Hardly any people were there.

Now if you come back in the later part of the week say... Friday night and Saturday this place would be humming with people. the chatter and so on Not the same that you would see at the holiday time but kinda close.

The atmosphere was like mellow and the music playing was Lady Gaga-"Paparazzi", kids jumping up and down on a self suspending bungee cord while the mothers were watching and aaahh the massage chairs.
  It had been some time since I was in this mall roughly about a year or so ago, but I noticed that several of the stores were closed and probably not going to reopen. Some still had merchandise on the shelves and just a roll secutiry door to protect the merchandise.

Many businesses today are closing because of high taxes and jus tlow supply and demand. How many people were thriving and then lost their job because of this? Any way I ended up a Barnes and Noble book store and got me a great book - "Awake the Giant Within" By Anthony Robbins. Excellent book!

Today I would like to share with you a Hilarious video of some funny babies. They laugh, they play in the water, slip and fall, crash their bike and play drums. They are cute and full of spunk. What really stood out was the kid that played the drums. He was going right to town on that. He probably had a goal to be a rock star some day with the lead drummer position. Hopefully he stays in his seat for a lot longer than he did in this video.


I wonder if these were taken during the summer or some in the winter? The dates on the spliced videos are from years ago. I wonder also of these kids are grown now and know they have been a star on YouTube? Your guess is as good as mine. I just needed a good laugh today and kids do it for me...

Army Boot Camp Exciting Times For PVT S. Rowe

For those who know Shane he is now at Fort Benning, GA in the Army Boot Camp. I am so proud that he is there and what he can do for our country. In this exiting place he would be standing attention and getting orders from his commanding officer. They are learning drills and how to properly be a soldier.

Army Boot Camp Delta Company 1-81 Armor Battalion, 194th Armored Brigade

Here at Ft. Benning Army Boot Camp Shane will be introduced to basic training including combat training and will be able to operate the M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank, this is the most technically advanced tank in the world. His job title will be 19K Tank Crewman.


  I'm really not sure what type of armament it carries, but he should be well versed in how to use the tank when he is finished with AIT.

 For those who know about Shane, he will love the thrill of driving one of these or shooting the tank cannon on the front. Before he left he said to me " I will love to blow off some rounds with my rifle and to shoot the tank cannon".

 Believe me he will have his target practice well in hand. Go Army! Good luck Shane
