Healing Wounds Of The Past..

Healing Wounds of The Past:

We all have wounds from our past and sometimes they creep up into our future. Why is that?
Sometimes the hurt is too much to bear and our hearts do not let things go that easily. Strife and bad situations always have their  tole on how people feel. It could be from a bad relationship, divorce, accidents, and or a death of a loved one. No matter what it is- we as humans have to heal. Maybe not forget but just try to move on..

" Until you heal the wounds of your past, you are going to bleed. You can bandage the bleeding with food, with alcohol, with drugs, with work, with cigarettes, with sex; But eventually, it will all ooze through and stain you rlife. You must find the strength to open the wounds, stick your hands inside, pull out the core of the pain that is  holding  you in your past, the memories and make peace with them......"
Iyanla Vansant

Go on and live! Make peace with the past and just let go of the pain. No one said it is going to be easy: Right? But it will lift your spirits and give you a fighting chance at life. Do for you!! Maybe you have dreams that can not be achieved because of this pain from the past. Every new minute that passes can be that beginning of healing and  forgiveness / Start now "Let It Go!"

"It comes to a simple choice, really.
You get busy living or get busy dying"
Andy Dufresne in the
Shawshank Redemption.

On a personal note:
As a child I grew up in foster care and had some of the most extreme things happen in my life. a first and second marriage: failed. Homelessness and poverty- felling of abandonment . I often wondered why am I plagued with so much strife?
Life was not always that easy and it was hard to forgive myself and those who were a part of the pain and suffering. It was so bad at times that giving up was the only choice. Perseverance kept me going." there are better days I kept whispering....."  And finally - there were better days.
Keep your chin up...
